Adopter Update: Shimmer is just stunning in person! Got to meet him early this morning when they got home, and chatted a bit this morning too. HUGE thanks for saving this wonderful guy - he is going to be an incredible addition to our herd, and one that we will eventually be able to ride!
Hello, Beth told me that you were the one who originally rescued my horse...and i just wanted to thank you(: He's the best horse i could of asked for and i love him soooo much! Description:Shimmer is a 3 year old rose gray Rocky Mountain Horse cross gelding. He was purchased on 5/6/07 from the Enumclaw Auction where he was going to the meat buyer. He is sound, healthy, sweet, calm and gentle. He has fantastic ground manners and it is obvious that someone spent a great deal of time on this horse. Shimmer loves people and other horses, but is not at all herd bound. He loads, leads and picks up his feet nicely. History:The auctioneer said that Shimmer had been started and had a few rides on him. Supposedly his old owner had gotten very sick and so Shimmer was taken to the auction.
