Final Update: August 2019 - Rain had to be put down due to colic. Description:Rain is a very sweet and gentle older pony mare. She is extremely well mannered and does her best to please. She is kind enough for young children to handle. Rain gets along well with other horses, but is also fine on her own. She is broke to ride and drive, but it has been years since she has done either. History:Supposedly originally Rain and River were sisters from a barn in the Enumclaw area that used Fell/Shetland cross ponies as kids' English riding horses in lessons and different programs. Eventually the horses were sold and many of them ended up going together to a pony-ride ring. Rain was part of a group of horses that came from the pony ride / petting zoo / pumpkin patch type place in Enumclaw called Happy Time Farm. These ponies were dispersed after the farm closed and most of them went to auction and then scattered across western Washington. Rain went to Burien where she was a family horse for children, but they did not keep her contained and she was constantly wandering loose until she was taken in by a neighbor and rehomed. Unfortunately she was rehomed as a gelding and her new home was a gelding-only home so they, understandably, needed to place her once again. I found her on AH after she was cross posted there from Craigslist.
