Final Update: Brujo had a hard winter in 2023 and then one January 2024 afternoon he just dropped dead. RIP Brujo. You were well loved and will be greatly missed. Description:Quite frankly, Brujo is the most perfect horse I have ever had the pleasure of being around. I will never understand why his previous owners tried to send him to slaughter. Brujo is a nice big boy who is absolutely gorgeous. He is a dead broke horse that anyone can ride once he likes you. He really takes care of his rider and I have put little kids up on him with no worries. Brujo is also nearly a miracle worker with other horses. You can put him in with badly abused horses and within a short time start seeing a difference in the attitude of the abused horse. History:Brujo was a champion halter horse with an absolutely amazing show record. He was the prize herd sire at a very well respected Appaloosa breeding farm until it was discovered that he was a carrier for HYPP. In order to protect the image of their barn and keep people from realizing that they had never tested for HYPP, his owners sent him to slaughter.
